TOC Community was formed by two experienced education practitioners who between them have over 30 years experience in special needs schools. They recognised that young people with disabilities continue to learn and develop once they leave school/college but need access to high quality activities and opportunities to allow them to continue their learning journey. Our focus is on the young people's choices and we support them on their chosen individual pathways towards a more independent life. We are always looking for volunteer help.
Our team is made up of a mix of education practitioners that have significant experience of working in special needs schools alongside volunteers - many of whom have worked in various care settings. We are proud to have a team that all share the enthusiasm and commitment to make a difference to our young people's lives. Parents and carers also remain an integral part of the team as we fully recognise they know their young people best!!
We partner with a variety of local organisations and businesses in our community to provide comprehensive tailor made work and volunteering experiences that respond to our young people's dreams and aspirations. Our key partners include St Paul's Church, CCDT Graylingwell, Crimsham Farm, St Wilfrid's Hospice, Seal Bay Resort, Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, Starline Taxis and Everyone Active.
